One Day Workshop On IMAGE PROCESSING USING MATLAB
Rohini College of Engineering and Technology endeavours to provide education and training of consistently high standards through innovative and versatile programmes suitable for the current and emerging needs of the Industry. Department of Computer Science and Engineering organised workshop in Engineering & Technology at its campus to impart high quality training to the students in the emerging areas. To begin with, the workshop with inauguration session in the Opulent Hall which was presided by the Chief Patron, Patron, Convenor, Coordinators,Executive Members and Students Coordinators.
This workshop was headed by Expertise Dr. C. Selvadev Christopher, M.E., Ph.D., Professor, Dept of ECE, St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering, Chungankadai. The field of digital image processing refers to processing digital images by means of a digital computer. In recent years, various researchers are turning their attention towards the development of effective, efficient and robust computational techniques / methods for image processing analysis.
This two day course provides hands-on experience with performing image analysis. Examples and exercises demonstrated the use of appropriate MATLAB and Image Processing Toolbox functionality throughout the analysis process. Topics include Introduction to Image Processing and MATLAB, its toolbox, Power of Matrix Computations and MATLAB Environment. At the end of the session, the initiative of Computer Science Department was highly appreciated by the Principal and Participation Certificates were distributed to the Participants.
