The Department of Civil Engineering of RCET has organized “ONE Day Workshop on "SPECIAL FOUNDATION  AND SITE EXPLORATION TECHNIQUES FOR METRO AND NATIONAL HIGHWAY PROJECTS”on 26.09.2023. Our respected Head of Department Dr.J.Sahaya Ruben started the program and gave the guest introduction. This program was conducted by  Mr.K.Shankar Narayanan, Senior Geotechnical Engineer Varaha Geotechnical works, Rajapalayam. . Morning session he has given the  introduction about site exploration testing methods,seismic consideration in the desidn of special foundation and IS 6403 codes for design,determination of bearing capacity of shallow foundation.Afternoon session  hand on trainings on triaxial testing,direct shear test and CBR test was conducted. The programwas finally ended by thanking Mr.K.Shankar Narayanan, Head of Department, Faculty members and students to make this program a great success.
