Dr R.Rajesh completed his BE Mechanical Engineering, ME Production Engineering and PhD from Annamalai University.

He has 23 years of teaching experience.He has published over 100 papers in refereed International Journals and presented more than 65 papers in International and National conferences in India and abroad.He is a reviewer for international journals and publishing houses. As a research supervisor, He has successfully guided 8 PhD scholars; currently, 8 scholars are pursuing their PhD under his guidance.He is also the Principal Investigator for several research projects under ICSSR & MHRD.

Dr R.Rajesh is a recipient of many awards like Best faculty award ,Best Ph.D thesis award etc.

He was instrumental in bringing Outcome Based Education He has organized several FDPs, National and International Conferences/Workshops sponsored by various funding agencies Prior to joining RCET as the Principal in 2017, Dr R.Rajesh occupied the position of the Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering,NICHE.
