About Us

The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) was established in 2022 with an initial intake of 60 students to the BE (BME) programme. The department accommodate Outcome Based Education which help the students to learn, develop and serve the society. The department has experienced and dedicated faculty specialized in various fields of Biomedical Engineering such as Medical Imaging in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Instrumentation, and Image Processing in Biomedical Engineering.

The faculty members have published more than 35 papers in National/ International Journals/ Conferences. The students are provided with lot of opportunities to work on project and skill development apart from regular curriculum. Students regularly undergo Internship and In-plant training in industries, state and the central government organizations and actively involved in participating competitions organized by various other Institutes. The department offers continuous learning through conferences, Faculty Development Programs (FDP), Symposium and workshop. The department regularly organizes Guest lectures and Special lectures in various courses to fill the curriculum gaps. The department has well established laboratory facilities to conduct research work on different specialized areas of Biomedical Engineering.
