The Electric circuits lab is concerned with basic knowledge and technology needed to understand the application of the rapidly changing electronics field. The lab is equipped with Function Generator, Single Trace and Dual Trace CRO's and Digital storage Oscilloscope designed to provide wide knowledge about Electrical & Electronics field. This lab also enables students to their projects in the field of Electronics, Electronic simulation and Real Time systems.

The objective of Electronic laboratory is to impart hands on experience in verification of circuit laws and theorems, measurement of circuit parameters, study of circuit characteristics and simulation of time response. It also gives practical exposure to the usage of CRO, power sources, function generator etc. This lab entrusts the student to study the characteristics, applications of electronic devices, such as p-n junction diode, Bipolar transistor, Field Effect transistor, LED, LCD & other photo electronic devices and Power control/regulator devices.

The Electrical Machines lab is equipped with all types of DC machines and Transformers mainly covered in the B.E. curriculum. Through hands-on experiments with real machines, students gain practical experience in using various DC motors and Generators, Transformers, Starters etc. All these machines are used for training the students to impart sound knowledge in the area of electrical machines.

Machines laboratory is one of the biggest lab of the department. It is equipped with various conventional AC machines along with other accessories like AC voltage source, loads, rheostats, modern ammeters, voltmeters, watt meters, multimetres etc. for conducting various experiments & developmental works .

It is well equipped lab with all the facilities, Major setups available with this lab are DC Servomotor speed torque characteristics trainer, AC servo position control system trainer, AC servomotor speed torque characteristic trainer etc. Here students can exercise their theoretical knowledge to gather an overall sound knowledge in this area. Instrumentation lab provides all the facilities like DSO, CRO, multimeters, DC sources, electronic equipment like OPamps etc. to acquire a sound knowledge by correlating their theoretical studies of different types transducers, instrumentation amplifiers, filters & many others with their practical works by performing the experiments on the transducer & instrumentation kits-- LVDT kit , Load cell kit, RTD kit , Thermocouple kit having the facility of RS-232 interfacing & digital display with all the setups, Thermistors etc.

Power electronics & drives laboratory has all the facilities to gather sufficient knowledge .Here students are provided with all the facilities like electronics components, DSO’s, Multimeters etc so that students can make their own circuits like control, triggering , power circuits etc requires to perform different experiments to correlate with the theoretical studies. This lab has the major setups like Thyristorised drive for DC Motor with closed loop control trainer, IGBT based PWM Inverter & V/F control trainer, vector controlled method etc. Students are constantly guided by the staffs to make them confident enough in that respective subject.

This Lab introduces about the fundamentals with emphasis on design and implementation to the students. The lab was well furnished with the software like MiPower and MATLAB. It aims to fulfill the objectives such as to model steady-state operation of large-scale power systems and to solve the power flow problems using efficient numerical methods suitable for computer simulation, to model and analyze power systems under abnormal (fault) conditions, to model and analyze the dynamics of power system for small-signal and large signal disturbances and design the systems for enhancing stability.

Practical implementation aspects and utility of green energy sources such as wind and solar energy systems.Performance assessment of Fuel cell, effect of change in solar insulation on the operation of DC micro grid system, effect of change in wind speed and pitch angle on the operation of DC micro grid system and emulation study on Solar PV Energy System under various shading conditions can be experimented here.
