Inauguration of Association Activities and Installation of Office Bearers

The Inaugural Function of the ECE Association – "The Faire Connectrons" for the academic year 2026–2027 was successfully conducted on 8 August 2026 at 10.00 A.M. in the presence of the college management, distinguished dignitaries, faculty members, and students. The event marked the commencement of the association's activities and the formal installation of the newly elected office bearers.

The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri. K. Neela Marthandan, Chairman, Dr. N. Neela Vishnu, Pro Chairman, Dr. Blessy Geo, Managing Director, and Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal, whose inspiring presence added significance to the occasion.

The function commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the Lighting of the Traditional Lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance through knowledge. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Mr. Pushparaj C., General Secretary of the ECE Association, who extended a cordial welcome to the dignitaries, faculty members, students, and invited guests.

The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal, who encouraged the students to actively participate in the association's activities and emphasized the importance of developing technical competence, leadership skills, innovation, and professional ethics to meet the evolving demands of the engineering profession.

The Chief Guest, Mr. J. Sivakumar, Deputy Director (Retd.), Stage Assembly & Integration Entity (SAIE), ISRO Mahendragiri, delivered an inspiring keynote address. Drawing from his vast professional experience at ISRO, he motivated the students to cultivate a spirit of curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning. He highlighted the significance of dedication, perseverance, and research in achieving excellence in engineering and encouraged students to contribute meaningfully to the nation's technological development.

Following the keynote address, Dr. M. Reji, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, introduced the newly elected office bearers of the ECE Association. The office bearers were formally installed by the Chief Guest, who administered the responsibilities and encouraged them to lead the association with commitment, integrity, and enthusiasm.

As a token of appreciation and gratitude, Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal, honoured the Chief Guest with a memento in recognition of his valuable presence and inspirational address.

Subsequently, the Proposed Annual Activity Plan of the Department was presented by Mrs. S. K. Gayathri, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE. The presentation outlined the various technical workshops, seminars, industrial visits, guest lectures, hackathons, project exhibitions, technical competitions, professional development programmes, and student enrichment activities planned for the academic year.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks, delivered by Ms. Karthika M. K., Treasurer of the ECE Association.
