Department of Mechanical Engineering organised the National Level Technical Seminar On Advanced Research in Materials Science ARMS-19 on 10th August 2019. Consecutively, this seminar was conducted to equip the students with the basics of modelling and simulation study using computational tools and its application in material science research and industry. The program started at 10am with the Tamilthavazhathu. The light and brightness are always equated with positivity and motivation. Therefore, in the outset of the program the traditional lamp was lit by the Chief Guest, Principal, HODs and students.

As usual presidential address was given by Dr.R.Rajesh,Principal of RCET and the gathering was welcomed and chief guest was introduced by Dr.Prince, Head of Mecahnical Engineering.This one day National Level Technical Seminar on Advances in Material Science was taken into limelight by the chief guest Dr.S.S.SARAVANAKUMAR, Associate Professor- Mechanical Engineering and guest of honour Prof.SENTHAMARAIKANNAN, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, Virudhunagar.Dr.S,S.Saravana Kumar discussed about the skill set expected by top companies,Insights of Mechanical Engineering Industry, Compensation you can expect and finally the higher education opportunities after completion of the degree.

Prof.Senthamaraikannan in his talk highlighted about the need of Research in the field of Mechanical Engineering and the gap that exists for unemployment problem.

Technical session happened with huge participation. During the valedictory session, the prize winners were rewarded for their performance. Students and faculties got aware of recent trends and research gaps in composite materials. Also got knowledge in Natural fibre composites. Programme got concluded with feedback session and vote of thanks.
