RIPPLE 2019

RIPPLE, as the name suggests is an event when the RCET campus popples in joy; the most awaited days of every year. Ripple’19 along with the DJ and, Cultural night is the two days event that apparently keeps the campus away from its academic side. RCET’s structure is adorned with colors of lights to enhance the underlying beauty of it.

Day one of Ripple’19 is to honor and motivate the stars that shone a little brighter in the year. Award for the best academic performer, award for the best team in sports Yuddhamae’19, where the Green House team took pride; the overall championship in fine arts competitions, Sizzle’19, award for the final year toppers and university rank holders of 2018 and the award for the best among the faculties and students were given by Mr. Mohanan, DEO, Nagercoil. Mrs. Brintha, Chief Educational Officer, Professor Simson Navis, Academic Director, Adharsh Vidhya Kendra, Mr. Meena Elizabeth George, Vice Principal, Corpus Christy School who also inaugurated in the Day 1 events of Ripple - 2019. The honorable Chairman, Shri. K. Neela Marthandan, Vice Chairman Dr. N. Mohan Neela Judith, Venerable Managing Director Dr. N. Neela Vishnu, Respected Principal Dr. R. Rajesh, Heads of the Department, festooned those excelled throughout the year. The dusk was lit with music and fun. The Light music and the DJ night brought in the festivity mode, RCET was jam-packed with the rhythms of music and joy. DJ Naveen and Ayisha was the rock stars of that evening.

Day two of Ripple’19 began ceremonially invoking the presence of Goddess Mother Saraswathi through lighting the lamp, by the honorable people on the dais, The honorable Chairman, Vice Chairman, Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer, Heads of the Department. The guest of honor Dr. V.Narayanan, Director of ISRO and M.Shankar, Divisional Manager, Ashok Leyland gave away the chief guests note stating the opportunities available for Engineers in the field of Space and Research areas. The annual report of 2018 was presented by Principal Dr. R Rajesh, which reminded the accomplishments of the year 2018 – 2019. The most awaited segment of the event, Cultural night started with a classical dance to give a traditional touch. As of adding confetti’s, Keerthy Suresh, Gowtham, Bobby Simha, VJ Ma Ka Pa Anand and Priyanka Deshpandae were invited to cheer up the young crowd.

Ripple’19 leapt its leg in every genre of fun side, with more of visual treats. Sudheesh (1st year CSE), Priyanka (1st year ECE), Preethi (1st year MECH), Omega (1st year CSE), Abitha (3rd year ECE), Aisha (3rd year ECE), Special host Bala Dinesh (3rd year CIVIL) and Pradeep (3rd year ECE) were the masters of the ceremony making it lively. The final year and third year student committee members now take pride, having coordinated the event successfully. The RCET family is overwhelmed to see the awestricken eyes of the parents and guests by their performances. Ripple’19 served as a relaxation to the daily routine of the busy bee campus. The fine arts committee takes credit for kindling up the tired minds through Ripple’19.
