World Cancer Day is a global day marked on February 4 to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment

This year’s theme for world cancer day is – I am and I will. This theme highlights the value of every individual to fight against cancer. It is an empowering call-to-action asking people to take action to save the future. The theme also acknowledges that all of us can fight against cancer.

As a part of celebration with the objective to create awareness on Cancer, NSS Unit of RCET organized Cancer Awareness Programme.Chief Guest Mr.S.Senthil Kumar, Director Sreeram Cancer Trust, Nagercoil delivered a talk on “Cancer Awareness- its prevention, detection, and treatment” on 4th February, 2020 . Various awareness activities regarding cancer types, causes and prevention were taught to students. The guest was honoured for his valuable time and support. The program was coordinated by Dr. Senthil VelMurugan, NSS Coordinator of RCET. The programme successfully ended with National Anthem.
